It's "The Rush"

So last weekend, I was rushing home from somewhere down the block and I ran into photographer extraordinaire, Kwesi Abbensetts, on the street. I was thinking "of course I would be shot on a rough day haha (hair a hot mess, sweaty and tired, obviously not looking my best)", BUT amazingly, he still captured the good side of me and I love it! Cloudy Days

I'm wearing my fave Victorian-inspired vintage blouse from the 1980's (by Sonya Ratay)

Obviously the weather was bad... peep the hair, ugh!

My good 'ol faithful maxi dress from the early 90's

This was obviously a serious moment... just kidding, but she happened to shoot this with a piece of crystal in front of the lens to get this cool effect and not photoshop... pretty cool, huh? :-p

Photos by: Michelle Smyth

A couple months ago, on a cold and rainy day in Brooklyn, photographer Michelle Smyth and I spent the afternoon taking these pics! It was probably one of the most chill, laid back shoots I've ever been a part of—we chatted about girl stuff, drank tea... It was great! I must say that her photography has a solemn yet pure type of vibe, which is pretty cool. Check out more of Michelle's work at MichelleSmyth.com.

Oldies but Goodies...

Soooo it's not "throwback Thursday," but it is "what a long time ago Wednesday" (at least it seems about right). This was me... 2 years ago in the city... shot by photographer Bryan Richardson. Boy, do I miss my septum piercing...ugh, memories. Anywhoo, he's a really great portrait/lifestyle photographer based here in NYC and he's a pleasure to work with! Bryan & I will hopefully be collaborating again soon, so please stay tuned!

Art...

I recently had the opportunity to work with Stephanie Guttenplan—a super cool photographer (and talented web designer), who shot me in this early 90's gown. To make a short story even shorter haha,  the darkness of this photo is what I really love—kinda creepy in a beautiful way.
